WSO isn’t easy

I have often wondered why I never got involved with the Warrior Forum, in sales of products. Well, I now know why I have never become a member again. It started a couple of years ago and I signed up to be a member and made several comments on various products, not much but comments none the less. I didn’t come back for about 6 months right about the time WSO changed something and I wasn’t a premium member so they deleted my log on information. Since that time I have not been able to get another log on name.

Well this is what happened today as I tried to resign up and WSO does not like my name and email, no matter what I have tried I can’t get logged in to get a verified code that you are suppose to get. Not sure what I am doing wrong but I have had the same kind of problem with the book mark plugin for chrome, firefox, and IE. Nothing else has been a problem, go figure.

What seems to happen is that I make the first entry and press return and when I try and use the same information that I just typed in the system comes back and tells me that I have the wrong name of password. 5 times so now I am locked out for 15 minutes.

I knew that there was a reason that I am not a member of the WSO, they don’t want me.
I am not sure whether I need to be a member, it might consume more time than may benefit me.
So for right now I am standing on the sideline and will check back every now and then to see if I can become a member.

Ubuntu Linux for the Real Novice

I am making this entry from my converted laptop.
This computer is a Toshiba (p-205-xxxx) with the Vista OS and now has a dual boot option.
Well, 8 hours ago I installed Linux Ubuntu (11.04) on this computer and this addition was no problem at all.

This is the EASIEST UPGRADE that I have ever done to any computer and I would recommend this to anyone that is thinking about upgrading a computer or buying a new one. This is something that I have talked about for years and I finally got the bug Friday morning while talking to Jeremy Black at our Friday Morning Meetup. Thank you Jeremy.

If you have an older laptop or desktop that has XP or Vista on it I would recommend this upgrade for your the sake of your budget and sanity. I will explain the step by step process as I experienced it to show you just how EASY  it is. This is worth a page just to show how easy it was.

By the way, the laptop has a 64 bit AMD core that powered the 32 bit Vista OS, what a joke it has been. Not what I would consider one of Toshiba’s better ideas, as it really throttled back that computer, and I didn’t realize it until I made the changes to the 64 bit Ubuntu brand of Linux, which has taken the brakes off of this computer as it is now a speed demon with power to spare.

I will follow this up telling you how I solve the problem of getting printing services back to my system, wireless that is.

Twitter Don’ts

Well if it wasn’t for the Congressman Weiner this wouldn’t have come to the for front until some other Government Official would have got caught doing something different.
After saying that don’t you go and make any of these mistakes that are listed here.

Start by realizing that your only sure way to keep your emails and texts out of the wrong hands is by not sending them at all, doh!
Next best thing is first turn on Twitter’s secure connection option. Go to Twitter account’s settings and turn on the option to “Always use HTTPS”.

Next, Don’t presume protected tweets will stay private. Keep in mind that people do strange things in a fit of passion or hate, you don’t need to start anything that you don’t want someone to shout from the street corner.

And when all else fails, remember that you don’t want to send anything that you wouldn’t want public, on either Twitter or Facebook.
That is just good rule of thumb to use.

Does the Subconscious solve problems?

I read this article on “Subconscious Information Processing” of how its writer had been taught by his father in his youth about the time of a teenage delema.
This name is just to long, what does it mean? In short: When we come on a problem that we need to solve, our subconscious starts to work on it that very second. And will continue to work on this problem until you tell it to stop or you solve the problem.
He talked on about this was a great lesson for this time in his life.

Call me a huge fan of the books from my motovational growth time of my life.
Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz
Conditioned Refles Therapy by Andrew Salter
The Power of your subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy
The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder
Your Greatest Power by J. Martin Kohe
The Greatest Salesman in the world by Ogg Mandino,
and the list goes on as these are the Great Works that I draw upon to formulate my ideals of business and life, so don’t be alarmed if I quote anyone of these authors as I will often.

You are so right, about turning over problems to the subconscious and let it solve the problem, the only down side is that it is best to give yourself overnight to come up with the answer.  Over night is probably the best, but, even telling yourself to work on a problem, then turn your attention to something else and let your subconscious work in the back ground just like you would on your PC. You will often times come up with the answer before your done with the next task.

The point is: you have a powerful computer right on you shoulders, use is to its fullest.

Creative Ways to Boost Website Traffic

Everybody needs more traffic.

That is if you are running an Internet Business or a bricks and mortar business, you are looking for more customers.  Here I will share some of what I have found just yesterday about this important subject to all of us.

Many companies have Web sites today but not all of them attract traffic. Some Traffic will typically convert to sales and the more visitors that you have the more sales you will have, typically. The reason that I say typically is that not all visitors will convert to sales but they will just be looking around or serious about the type of product that you are offering.  This is where your Web site comes in. It is there to covert lookers into buyers.

Now days it is not only getting people (eye balls or page views) to your site but get them to click on the buy now button. If your site is not converting well or not getting the visitors that you want and need then it might be time to seek professional help in your Web site development. More eye balls (page views) to your site will pay off, and bring you in new customers.

Here are some creative ways to Boost Web site traffic.

Optimize your site with SEO (search engine optimization) as this is one of the most important keys on your way to more traffic. Most people are beginning to understand that they need to use key words in their articles and postings but in the back ground of the Web site is a place for you to place your key words. If you don’t understand this method it is time for you to get a professional to help.

Key words are the words and phrases that you use in your business every day with out all of the connecting words.  IE: No, ands, buts, ifs, you, your, are, it, is, this, these or any other non descriptive words. They must be key words that people are using to searching for you and your product, more your product than you.

This is also where unless you are Shell, Sears, Burger King, or some other big name, your name is NOT part of the search term. If they don’t know you, they will NOT use your name or care what your name is UNTIL they find you by the search terms first.

Publish Articles about what your company does and who you have done it for. Don’t just say that you are an expert at what you do, this is where you tell what you have done to show that you are the expert (expert is implied by what you do).

At every chance that you get you should be posting on other like type sites of yours and be posting articles about your business on article sites. Ezine, Article Circle, PublishMyself, and many more. Find several that have articles posted in your market and publish yours there also.

Update Constantly as this is the one best ways in my book to get more people coming to your site. People like to go where there is fresh relevant content and the search engines like it also (most important), and they will rank you higher for that. This being one of the easiest of the creative ways to Boost Web site Traffic.

Use Video where ever you can to show off your product or service. And you can make instructional videos, and these often times these can be sold and used is some cases to build a membership site.

Publish Articles any where as often as you can bring yourself to write. Any good content that you provide to your blog or Web site you will find that it will pay you back over time.

Comment on other blogs and Web sites often. After you have posted good content on other Web sites or blogs two or three times you can start leaving your Web site URL which will help with link backs.

These are some of the most effective ways to Boost Traffic now and over the long run and not spend any money just time.

Social Media’s Secret Weapon – Email

This is no surprise to me as the facts remain that when someone tags you or posts to your Facebook page you get an email of that fact. Makes for a very compelling reason for you to go check it out. There you go to check out your Facebook page.

Here is the site where I found this article. AVC musings of a VC in NYC.

The latest is the fact that the feds are doing nothing to help the middle class and more to help Big business, banks and other companies.  Watch this video to explain what I am taking about.

Thank You George Black

George it is because of you I have started posting most everything that I read and think that is valuable information. This is not meant to be a slap to George, quite the contrary, he has inspired me to do this to help him and any other people that would be interested in learning some of the new business ideas, tips, tricks and more.

I will start right now.

This came to me in a signature line from a very good friend of mine and I really like this.
“Be who you are and say what you feel…
Because those that matter…don’t mind…
And those that mind… don’t matter.”
(unknown author) [It's been attributed to Dr. Seuss!]
Thank you Rick C.
